I had a little surprise when logging into my gmail account tonight. Apparently Google decided to quietly launch a feature called Gmail Paper. Here’s how it works - if you want, you hit the Paper Archive button and they’ll mail you a copy of the email(s). This feature sounds pretty cool! See a screenshot below:

Of Course this is probably an April Fools Joke…customary from google.

While pursuing the internet (a favorite past time of mine) I found these videos. Even today, many people do not know 1) what a wiki is, and 2) how it could benefit them or their organization.
Here are some great videos that have teachers explain how their using PBWiki, but the ideas are applicable to any wiki software you’re using (we’re starting to use SharePoint 2007 at my work)
What is a wiki?
How does collaboration work?

Microsoft is making waves in the mobile community because of their fantastic new mobile browser called Deepfish.

How is Deepfish different?
Most mobile browsers on cell phones fit the contents of a webpage onto a mobile’s tiny screen. In other words, it squishes the content into columns, making the webpage very hard to read and adding to the cumbersome of mobile web browsing. Deepfish makes the website render the website in its entirety and allows the user to zoom into the area they want to see. It’s very slick.
Check out this video for more detail. It’s exciting to see such a wonderful product come out of Microsoft Live Labs. Deepfish is being released in private beta and is only available on Windows Mobile 5.0 and above.
Another informative article.
EDIT: My buddy Josh just posted a great video demonstrating the usability of Deepfish on his Cingular 8525.

So I’m a LinkedIn member and have been for about two years since a buddy told me about it. I have lots of contacts on LinkedIn including former friends, college friends, co-workers, managers and the like. I’m very excited about the concept: to stay in contact with people after you move away from an area or a job. However, I don’t understand what LinkedIn is about. What value does it represent to the average working person? Social networks such as facebook or myspace give you away to interact and converse with your contacts, but linkedin doesn’t. I can’t easily email my contacts or share photos or anything.
The only person or group of people I can tell would benefit from LinkedIn are professional recruiters. Actually now that I think of it job hunters could use Linkedin to apply for positions. But if I’m not job hunting - what is LinkedIn all about?
I’m writing this post not to criticize, but to hopefully have someone educate me on what LinkedIn represents. Please leave a comment below.

I’ve been trying to find an adequate way to twitter on windows. Since Twitter’s IM with Google Talk has been flaky at best (however as of this morning seems to be a lot better), I need something to use while I am on a windows machine and away from my wonderful mac and twitterrific.
Then triQQr comes into my life. It seems to be a very lickable app that allows you to update twitter and see what all your friends are up to. Unfortunately it’s not available for Vista (yet). I’ve pasted a screenshot below.

BlackBerry, starting today, is opening up their platform to developers. What does this mean to the average Crackberry user? With the company becoming more inviting to developers it means cooler apps will be coming out soon.
I use Google’s applications on the BlackBerry I’m currently using including Chat, Maps, and Gmail. They are great apps that make the BlackBerry a portable window on the world for me. I’m very anxious to see what good products come into fruition because of BB’s new venture!

I had a thought the other night which I shared on twitter. I bet the telco’s are just fanatic Twitter fans - merely because of all the stinking SMS messages it’s generating and all the revenue they must be raking in. Well my buddy Josh just posted about how he’s happy he has an unlimited texting plan.
So my question - now that people have been on twitter for a while and some of the cell phone bills are coming - how much have you spend on twitter sms messages?!
Please make a post in the comment section!
