CradlePoint Secures VC Funding

Cradlepoint logoCradlepoint, a Boise-based mobile router company, has secured an investment from Highway 12 Ventures, as announced on Highway 12′s blog.

Cradlepoint is a company that makes fantastic 4g/3G wireless routers.  Using Cradlepoint’s devices, a user can take an existing mobile broadband card from Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, or AT&T (or any other carrier, for that matter) and share it amongst any Wi-Fi device.  Cradlepoint adds value to your mobile data by allowing you to share it with any Wi-Fi capable device.

With the rapid adoption of 4g and 3G technologies, Cradlepoint has a bright future ahead of it.  Many devices now have Wi-Fi including mobile phones, the recently released Apple iPad, and computers of all sizes.  Cradlepoint’s mobile routers make it possible for all these devices to easy use one mobile data card to access the Internet on-the-go!.

I’m a huge fan of the Cradlepoint CTR500 and use it to connect my iPod Touch and Netbook when I need to work on the road.

It’s great to see a Pacific Northwest mobile company getting funding to take business to the next level.  Congrats to both Highway 12 and Cradlepoint!
